Lime from Latin Tilia, a genus of trees from
the linden family. They are found in temperate climates
in the Northern Hemisphere. About 30 species
of linden are distinguished.

Linden flower contains over 20 flavonoids, terpenes,
phytosterols, tannins, pectins, essential oil, mineral
salts, organic acids and vitamins C and PP.

As a medicinal raw material, linden flower in the form
of an infusion has a diaphoretic, antipyretic effect, it is
recommended to be consumed during colds and fever.

It has compounds that have a shielding, coating, protective
effect and thus help relieve cough and sore throat.
The infusion also has a diaphoretic and diuretic effect,
is used in diseases accompanied by increased
temperature, they increase the amount of sweat secreted
from the body with which toxins are excreted.

The essential oils contained in linden flowers irritate
the nerve tubules, thereby stimulating the kidneys to
produce more urine. These oils also gently soothe
smooth muscles and promote the secretion of
gastric juices.

Linden flower infusion also has an effect on the
nerves, soothes over-excitement states and
helps with prolonged mental effort. Oils also
help with falling asleep problems, especially
by adding linden infusions to a hot bath.
