SC2 is a charger for lithium-ion cells with a micro-USB power input. It has the ability to charge in the fastest QC3.0 system. The charger can charge one or two lithium-ion batteries with the following sizes: 18650/18700/20700/21700/22650/25500/26650, including the protected 20700/21700 batteries, with a rated voltage of 3.6V / 3.7V. Thanks to the charging algorithm, the charger is an intelligent and safe device.

The TC / CC / CV charging algorithm used in the charger is the charging process of Li-ION cells that ensures the good condition of the cell. It consists in charging with the right current and completing the charging at the right time. TC / CC / CV charging stages can be divided into:

TC stage: initial phase of checking and reactivating a cell whose voltage has dropped below 2.9V
CC stage: then the cell is charged with a constant current from 50mA to 500mA (depending on the connected power source).
CV stage: the charger then switches to recharging with decreasing current up to a voltage of 4.2V at the cell. When the cell voltage reaches 4.2V, charging is complete and the battery is fully charged.
Complete with the XTAR SC2 charger, we get a micro USB cable. The set requires a power supply, e.g. from a phone, or a computer with a free USB port, e.g. The output current of the USB charger should be 3A at 5V.

An interesting and safe solution in the SC2 charger is a separate power supply. This prevents unnecessary heating of the charged cell. When the set is in operation, the power supply itself heats up, not the charged cell. As a result, the temperature during charging may not rise more than 15 degrees on the cell. This directly affects the service life of the battery.

On the other hand, reactivation of "0V", discharged cells consists in inserting the cell into the charger and checking the voltage. Thanks to this function, we can check each link in the right size. After detecting a discharged cell, the charger will try to reactivate it. It should be remembered that exceeding the minimum voltage on the cell will limit the possibility of reactivating and saving such a battery.
