DaVinci IQC – Frequently Asked Questions
What is the DaVinci IQC?
How does the DaVinci IQC work?
The DaVinci IQC uses conduction heating. Dry herb is placed directly into the ceramic heating oven, where it is heated to the selected temperature. Vapor then travels through the isolated zirconia and glass vapor path.
Is the DaVinci IQC a convection vaporizer?
No. The DaVinci IQC uses conduction heating. The material is heated directly by the ceramic oven.
What temperature range does the DaVinci IQC have?
The IQC offers temperature control up to 221°C (430°F), with precise manual temperature adjustment and Smart Path presets.
Does the DaVinci IQC have 1-degree temperature control?
Yes. The IQC allows precise temperature adjustment in 1°C increments. Smart Paths are also available for preset temperature profiles.
What are Smart Paths on the DaVinci IQC?
Smart Paths are four preset temperature profiles that gradually increase the temperature during a session. They are called Flavor, Mind, Body and Rest.
What temperatures do the DaVinci IQC Smart Paths use?
Flavor operates at approximately 176–188°C, Mind at 188–199°C, Body at 199–210°C and Rest at 210–221°C.
How fast does the DaVinci IQC heat up?
Full heat-up takes approximately 45–60 seconds, depending on the selected temperature or Smart Path.
Does the DaVinci IQC have adjustable airflow?
Yes. The IQC features an AirDial airflow control that allows you to adjust the draw resistance and airflow to your preference.
What does AirDial do on the DaVinci IQC?
AirDial controls airflow through the device. A more open setting provides a looser draw, while a more restricted setting increases resistance and can produce denser vapor.
What is the DaVinci IQC oven capacity?
The IQC oven can hold up to approximately 0.5 g of dry herb, depending on the material and loading method. A dosing capsule can be used for smaller amounts.
Does the DaVinci IQC have a ceramic oven?
Yes. The IQC uses a ceramic heating oven designed for dry herb vaporization.
Does the DaVinci IQC have a zirconia vapor path?
Yes. The IQC uses high-quality zirconia and glass components in its vapor path, helping keep the vapor path isolated from other device materials.
Does the DaVinci IQC produce good flavor?
Yes. The zirconia and glass vapor path is designed to provide clean flavor. Vapor quality also depends on temperature, herb moisture and material quality.
Does the DaVinci IQC have an app?
Yes. The IQC supports Bluetooth connectivity with the DaVinci app, allowing additional temperature and Smart Path control.
Does the DaVinci IQC have Bluetooth?
Yes. Bluetooth allows the IQC to communicate with the DaVinci app and provides additional configuration options.
Can I change the DaVinci IQC from Fahrenheit to Celsius?
Yes. With the device powered off, press and hold all three buttons for approximately 10 seconds. The IQC will vibrate and confirm the change on the LED display. The unit can also be changed through the DaVinci app.
Can the DaVinci IQC be used while charging?
Does the DaVinci IQC charge via USB-C?
Yes. The IQC features USB-C charging, allowing the battery to be charged without removing it from the device.
Can the DaVinci IQC be used with concentrates?
Yes. The IQC is a dual-use vaporizer. Concentrates should be used with the appropriate dosing pod and ceramic extract disc. Do not place concentrates directly into the oven.
Can the DaVinci IQC be used with oils?
DaVinci allows certain oils and extracts to be used with the appropriate dosing pod and ceramic extract disc. Oils should not be poured directly into the device.
Can the DaVinci IQC be connected to a bong?
Yes. A 10 mm water adapter is included and can be used to connect the IQC to a compatible bubbler or bong.
Is the DaVinci IQC suitable for dry herb?
Yes. Dry herb is the primary material intended for use with the IQC. It can be loaded directly into the oven or into a compatible dosing capsule.
Is the DaVinci IQC suitable for beginners?
Yes. The basic operation is straightforward, while Smart Paths allow beginners to use preset temperature profiles. More advanced users can manually control the temperature in 1°C increments.
How do you use the DaVinci IQC?
Charge the device, install the battery, load the oven, turn on the IQC and select a Smart Path or your preferred temperature. Once heated, take slow draws and adjust airflow using the AirDial.
How do you clean the DaVinci IQC?
Clean the oven, mouthpiece and vapor path regularly. The appropriate components can be cleaned according to the manufacturer's instructions using the supplied tools and isopropyl alcohol. All cleaned parts must be completely dry before use.
Does the DaVinci IQC have automatic shut-off?
The IQC is designed as a session vaporizer and includes safety features that limit operation. It is recommended to manually switch the device off after use.
